The famous Brazilian model, Mariana
Bridi da Casta, died early this morning, after a hard battle with blood
poisoning, otherwise known as septicaemia.
She was 20 years old.
Originally triggered by a UTI
(Urinary Tract Infection) it snowballed into a deadly condition – which
resulted in septicaemia. She went in to
the ultimate stage i.e. septicaemia with shock and inspite of the best effort
by doctors of US, the year old died.

55 year male patient with no
significant past medical history: After returning from a trip to Patna, had
fever accompanied by chills. Two days
later he fell unconscious and was brought into DESUN emergency at 12.00
O’clock at night. Patient was immediately admitted into
DESUNICU and a series of tests where performed including advanced pathology
tests where it was revealed that the patient had septicaemia with shock where
the survival rate is less than 5%. The
blood culture revealed that he had pneumococcal septicaemia. A team of 5 specialists of different
departments arrived within 2 hours of
admission and started treating the patient.
He was out of ventilator after 7
days and went back home within two weeks fully recovered.
CONCLUSION
A stand-alone heart institute model
for a hospital has not been successful any where in the world. DESUN
